Slack or Linear not working
Fix Slack test messages that fail, missing CSV uploads, expired bot tokens, and Linear teams that do not load or tickets that do not update.
Start with Send test message or Load teams in Settings > Connections. The error is shown in plain words.
Slack
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| Test fails with a webhook | Create a new webhook; old ones stop working when the Slack app or channel is removed |
| Message arrives, no CSV | The message says why. Usually a missing scope or the bot is not in the channel |
| Worked, then stopped after 12 hours | Token rotation is on. Turn it off for this Slack app and paste a new xoxb- token |
| Wrong channel | With a bot saved, the bot's channel is used, not the webhook's |
| Nothing after an audit | Stopped audits are never posted, and "only when worse" skips unchanged audits |

Linear
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| Load teams fails | Check the key starts with lin_api_ and was not revoked in Linear |
| Tickets never close | Tickets close only after a complete audit that did not hit the page limit, and only when Move tickets to Done is ticked |
| A ticket was recreated | It was deleted in Linear. Cancel tickets instead to keep them closed for good |
| My notes disappeared | The description is rewritten every audit. Add notes as comments |
If Linear fails during an audit, Slack is still sent and says what went wrong.
