Independent SiteAuditLint analysis
SiteAuditLint crawled 100 URLs on spiralytics.com and found no critical issues. Page weight is the defining pattern: 99 of 99 analyzed pages exceed 500 KB of HTML, with a median of 867 KB. Broken external links on 46 pages come second, though many are share buttons that refuse automated requests.

What stood out
Overall assessment
spiralytics.com is well built for search. All analyzed pages have titles, 96 have self-referencing canonicals, 99 declare hreflang, structured data is present everywhere, and 36 pages carry FAQ or Q&A markup. llms.txt is in place and all nine AI crawlers are allowed.
HTML size is the main opportunity. Every analyzed page is between roughly 0.5 and 1.3 MB of HTML, which points to the shared theme rather than individual articles. The same template likely explains the 12 slow responses, led by /about-us/ at 2,877 ms.
Link hygiene and metadata come next. Blog posts link to external pages that failed, a mix of AddToAny email share links that returned 403 to the crawler and genuinely missing pages such as an Ahrefs PDF and a Jasper case study. Twenty author archives have no meta description.
Audit methodology
SiteAuditLint started from the website's homepage and crawled up to 100 URLs by following discoverable internal links and the URLs listed in the XML sitemap. Results represent the URLs reached during the crawl and do not constitute a complete audit of the entire website.

Technical SEO scorecard
Scores are the category scores SiteAuditLint calculates as part of its Site Health Score.
| Area | Score | Key finding |
|---|---|---|
| Overall health | 95 | Excellent rating from SiteAuditLint |
| Technical | 96 | 3 noindex ebook pages without a canonical |
| Content | 100 | No thin pages, no exact or near duplicates |

| AEO | 99 | All 9 AI crawlers allowed, llms.txt present |
Major findings
1. Every page over 500 KB of HTML
MediumFinding: All 99 analyzed pages exceed 500 KB of HTML. The median is 867 KB, the largest is 1,287 KB, and the homepage is 1,137 KB.
Why it matters: Large documents take longer to download and parse on mobile networks, and a sitewide pattern points to the theme or page builder output.
| URL | HTML size |
|---|---|
https://www.spiralytics.com/ | 1,137 KB |
https://www.spiralytics.com/about-us/ | 881 KB |
Recommended fix: Audit the shared layout for inlined CSS, embedded SVG and repeated menu markup that can load separately or be removed.
2. Broken external links on blog posts
MediumFinding: 46 pages link to external URLs that returned errors. Many are AddToAny email share links that returned 403 to the crawler, while others are genuine 404s, such as an Ahrefs report PDF and a Jasper case study page.
Why it matters: Share-button 403s are often a false alarm, but cited sources that return 404 weaken articles that rely on them. See the broken link checker.
| URL | Broken target |
|---|---|
https://www.spiralytics.com/blog/ai-content-marketing-statistics/ | ahrefs.com AI in content marketing PDF [404] |
https://www.spiralytics.com/blog/5-proven-email-copywriting-frameworks-better-conversions/ | addtoany.com email share link [403] |
Recommended fix: Replace or remove the 404 citations, and exclude AddToAny share URLs from link checks.
3. Slow responses on core pages
MediumFinding: 12 URLs took longer than 1,000 ms, with a median of 2,405 ms and a maximum of 3,153 ms. /about-us/ took 2,877 ms.
Why it matters: Slow server responses delay page loads and reduce how many pages crawlers fetch per visit.
| URL | Result |
|---|---|
https://www.spiralytics.com/about-us/ | 2,877 ms |
https://www.spiralytics.com/ai-policy/ | 2,009 ms |
Recommended fix: Enable full-page caching for static pages and review what the heaviest templates load server-side.
4. Author archives without meta descriptions
LowFinding: 20 pages have no meta description, all author archives. The same pages lack og:description.
Why it matters: Search engines write their own snippet when none is set, which is often less compelling. See on-page SEO checks.
| URL | Evidence |
|---|---|
https://www.spiralytics.com/blog/author/gabetagala/ | No meta description |
Recommended fix: Set an author archive description template, such as a short bio, in the SEO plugin.
5. Ebook archive set to noindex
LowFinding: /ebooks/ and its paginated pages return noindex, follow with no canonical tag. /about-us/ has no H1.
Why it matters: If the ebook library is a lead source, noindex keeps it out of search results entirely.
| URL | Evidence |
|---|---|
https://www.spiralytics.com/ebooks/ | noindex, follow |
Recommended fix: Confirm the ebook archive should be excluded, and add an H1 to /about-us/.
6. Tag cleanup and missing HSTS
LowFinding: GTM-593HP5 still contains a Universal Analytics tag (UA-46194139-1) and a paused tag. The Microsoft Ads UET tag is hard-coded on 99 pages outside GTM. No HSTS header was returned on 99 pages.
Why it matters: Stale tags add weight, tags outside GTM bypass consent controls, and HSTS forces browsers to use HTTPS. See the tracking and pixel audit.
Recommended fix: Remove the UA and paused tags, move UET into GTM, and add a Strict-Transport-Security header.

Audit limitations
The crawl was limited to 100 URLs and started from the homepage, so only URLs discovered through internal links and the XML sitemap are represented. A 100-URL crawl does not represent the entire website. Findings reflect the site at the time of the crawl on October 23, 2026. SiteAuditLint analyzed the HTML returned by the server, so content added later by JavaScript and responses that differ for automated clients may not match what a browser shows. This audit evaluates technical observations, not overall business or search performance.
This is an independent SiteAuditLint analysis of publicly accessible pages. It was not requested or endorsed by Spiralytics, and it does not imply that Spiralytics uses SiteAuditLint.
