WHAT THE FREE AUDIT CHECKS
Technical SEO and AI visibility in one check
Most free SEO checkers stop at title tags. This one also checks whether GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended are allowed to crawl your site, so you know if AI search can read and cite you.
AI crawler access
Reads your robots.txt rules for 9 AI user agents, including GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot, and flags any that are blocked.
llms.txt and structured data
Checks for an llms.txt file and JSON-LD schema markup, two signals that help answer engines understand your brand, products and content.
Title tag and meta description
Measures title and meta description length against what Google displays in search results, so your snippet is not cut off.
Headings and image alt text
Confirms a single H1 that states the topic and finds images missing alt text, which matters for accessibility and image search.
Indexing and canonical tags
Catches noindex directives that hide pages from Google and missing canonical tags that cause duplicate content issues.
Mobile, language and social previews
Checks the viewport tag for mobile-first indexing, the html lang attribute, and Open Graph tags for link previews.

FAQ
Free SEO audit questions
Is this SEO audit really free?
Yes. The web checker is free with no signup and no credit card. It audits one page at a time. To crawl your whole site, download the free SiteAud!tLint desktop app, which covers up to 100 URLs.
How do I check if AI crawlers can access my website?
Enter your URL above. The audit reads your robots.txt file and shows whether GPTBot, ChatGPT-User, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, Claude-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, Applebot-Extended and CCBot are allowed or blocked, and whether your site has an llms.txt file.
What is answer engine readiness?
It is a score for how easily AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity can crawl and understand your site. It combines AI crawler access in robots.txt, the presence of llms.txt, and structured data on the page. This is the foundation of answer engine optimization (AEO) and generative engine optimization (GEO).
Should I allow GPTBot and other AI crawlers?
If you want your brand to appear in AI answers and citations, those crawlers generally need access to your public pages. Some sites block training crawlers like GPTBot or CCBot while allowing search crawlers like OAI-SearchBot. The right choice depends on your content and business goals.
What is llms.txt?
llms.txt is a proposed plain text file at the root of your site that gives AI models a short guide to your most important pages. It is not an official standard yet, but it is a low-effort way to make your content easier for language models to find.
Do you store my website data?
No. The free audit fetches the page, scores it and returns the results without saving them. If you request an email report, we use your email address to send it, as described in our Privacy Policy.
What is the difference between this and the desktop app?
This tool checks one page with 10 on-page checks plus AI crawler access. The desktop app crawls every URL on your site, finds broken links and redirects, builds an Action Plan ranked by impact and effort, compares audits over time, and audits tracking and pixels.
