Scheduled audits

Run daily or weekly site audits with no window open using Windows Task Scheduler, a site list file and headless command line options.

Scheduled audits crawl a list of sites on a timetable, save each audit to History, sync Linear tickets and post to Slack, all without opening the app window.

Set it up on Windows

1. Open scheduled_sites.txt in the app folder and list your sites, one URL per line.
2. Double-click Schedule audits.bat.
3. Choose to create the task, daily or weekly at a set time. The same window can also run everything now, remove the task, or open the site list.

Option 2, run everything now, is the best test: it shows whether each site crawls and whether Slack and Linear messages arrive.

Tasks run while you are logged in. If the computer is off or signed out at the scheduled time, that run is skipped.

Command line options

• --crawl audits one site. --sites-file audits every site in a file.
• --notify sends Slack messages, syncs Linear and runs any due AI visibility check.
• --export saves reports to a folder.

Headless runs use the crawl settings saved in the app and your edition's page limit. On macOS and Linux, run the same command from cron or launchd.

Exit codes

If an audit fails, a failure message is posted to Slack. The log is at %LOCALAPPDATA%\SiteAuditor\SiteAuditor\logs\scheduled-audits.log. See A scheduled audit did not run.
