Slack notifications for audits
Create a Slack incoming webhook, connect it in Settings > Connections, and choose when audit summaries are posted and how much detail they include.
SiteAud!tLint can post an audit summary to a Slack channel after every audit, or only when something gets worse. This works for audits you run in the app and for scheduled audits.
Create a webhook in Slack
- Go to api.slack.com/apps and click Create New App, then From scratch. Name it, for example "SiteAuditLint", and pick your workspace.
- In the app's menu, open Incoming Webhooks, turn it On, then click Add New Webhook to Workspace and choose the channel.
- Copy the webhook URL. It starts with
https://hooks.slack.com/services/.
Connect it in SiteAud!tLint
- Open Settings > Connections.
- Paste the URL, tick Send Slack messages and click Save.
- Click Send test message and check the channel.
The webhook URL works like a password: anyone who has it can post to that channel. It is stored in Windows Credential Manager (entry "SiteAuditLint"), never in the settings file or audit database. Disconnect removes it.

Audits you stop by hand are never posted.
Message detail
- All issues, grouped by severity (default): every Critical, Warning and Opportunity issue type with its URL count and how many URLs are new.
- Short summary: only issue types that got new URLs, or the top fixes on a first audit.
Both include site health with its change, URLs crawled, critical issues, warnings, what was fixed, and a note when the page limit cut the audit short. When Linear is connected, each issue line links to its ticket.
Attach the full issues CSV
A webhook can only post text. To attach the complete CSV in the message's thread, add a bot token: see Full issues CSV in Slack.
