10 / Fix

An audit that lists 60 issue types does not tell you where to start. The Action Plan ranks every issue by impact, effort, severity and affected URLs, so the first rows are the fixes worth doing today.

The Action Plan sits under the Fix pillar and answers one question: what should I fix first? Each issue type becomes one action with its impact, effort, severity, affected URL count, why it matters and how to fix it.

1. How actions are ranked

FactorWhat it measures
SeverityCritical, Warning, Opportunity or Info
ImpactHow much the issue affects crawling, indexing, rankings or users
EffortHow much work a typical fix takes
Affected URLsHow many pages the issue appears on

2. Severity levels

One meaning per severity

CriticalCriticalBroken pages, redirect loops, missing titles, HTTP pages.
WarningWarningMissing descriptions, duplicates, slow pages.
OpportunityOpportunityAlt text, lengths, small formatting issues.
InfoInfoCanonicals, redirects, notes. Never lowers the score.

Colors match the app: red, amber, yellow and blue.

3. Priority fixes and quick wins

The Overview shows the top five actions as Priority Fixes and a separate Quick Wins list of low effort changes. Each action opens to affected URLs with evidence, plus Copy URLs and Export URLs buttons for handing work to developers or writers.

4. Critical Issues work list

Critical Issues lists every critical problem, optionally with warnings, as a flat work list with the fix for each URL. It is the view to share with a developer on the day of a release.

5. Export and share

  • Export the Action Plan to CSV.
  • The HTML report includes the Action Plan and Critical Issues under 02 Fix.
  • Slack messages list issues by severity, and Linear tickets are created per issue type with matching priority.
